DC United vs Toronto FC
With the MLS fastly approaching the play-offs there are still plenty of places up for grabs. In the Eastern Conference the last couple of play-off places are looking to be filled with play-off hopeful DC United entertaining the also-ran Toronto.
DC United moved into a play-off place with an excellent 1-0 home win over Western Conference leaders Dallas. This moved them above Montreal with a game in hand and a victory here would put them 4 points clear with only 2 games remaining.
The Washington based side have really turned a corner since signing Wayne Rooney and they have gone from being the worst side in the MLS to being serious contenders in winning the trophy this season with only 2 defeats in their last 14 matches.
Toronto, the current MLS champions have had a poor season and will not be reaching the play-offs. Effectively their season is over. The main reason has been their away form with only 2 road victories all season.
The Canadian side will also be without several of their key players for this match. Sebastian Giovinco, Michael Bradley, Jonathan Osorio and Mark Delgado will all be absent while on international duty. Eight-goal scorer Victor Vazquez is injured and forward Jozy Altidore is questionable for the match.
