Bulgaria vs Cyprus

Bulgaria has entered the UEFA Nations League in a best possible way since the team comes from two victories against the bigger opponents for the first position. In the first round, they won over Slovenia on the road 1:2, while they also managed to get a narrow 1:0 victory a few days later at home against Norway.

They didn't dominate in either of these two games but somehow managed to get straight points against opponents who weren't effective enough. After these two matches, they face up against a side that really isn't at the level of first two opponents and should be aiming for an even easier three-pointer here.

In comparison to previous few call-ups, the hosts won't count at midfielders Martin Raynov and Aleksandar Tsvetskov, both from Beroe Stara Zagora. Actually, they are pretty much with the similar squad as in previous months.

Cyprus, on the other side, got deservedly defeated with a 2:0 result in Norway in the first round in September, conceding two goals in the first halftime. Even though they wanted to improve in second and were a bit better, nothing has changed overall.

As for the second round game, the side welcomed Slovenia and it looked like they are heading towards another defeat when the visitors took the lead in the 54th minute via Beric, but the Cypriots managed to improve in last twenty minutes winning thanks to a goal from Sotiriou and an own goal in the 89th minute.

It was a game where they deserved a victory, but also where the Slovenian side played below their standard overall. Cypriots are also not missing players in comparison to the previous call-ups. Having pretty much the team from their domestic league mostly.

It's true that the Bulgarians maybe didn't deserve all six points so far, but also the side has surely used such victories to lift the morale inside their locker rooms. Their nation is full of potential actually, just due to different factors were behind similar teams in European standards. Cyprus is definitely far behind them, especially when playing on the road. The hosts should get the easier victory than what the odds suggest.

Isaiah I am bulgarian but I do not believe to be easy win.I think will be difficult match and may be win with one goal more.Really bulgarian team is weak and how you said it won first mathces really by chance. It is organised team but there are not good players just young boys.
