TNS vs Queens Park
TNS vs. Queens Park
So it's time for Scottish football to get a little funky and start inviting randoms from around the UK into their Challenge Cup comp.
Probably the best side to get invited outside of Scotland are TNS, the Welsh champions on millions of thousands of hundreds of occasions. Last year they did really well and made it all the way to the semi-finals where they were narrowly beaten by Championship side Dumbarton. On their Challenge Cup journey the Oswestry giants beat other Championship sides Queen of the South and Livingston (Now Premiership). They also smashed League Two Elgin City 4-0.
Queens Park are also League Two since they were relegated last season. They're unlikely to go straight back up and have started the season very average sitting just outside the play-off spots. Basically there are better teams than them in this league.
TNS play in Europe every season and although they never get very far they do compete Ok-ish. This year they were eliminated by Midtjylland 5-1 on aggregate but they are a quality side.
Obviously Queens Park are a country mile away from any European football so there is a clear gap in class here.
TNS should win.
