Germany vs France (By: Stanioooo)
Germany host France in the 1st match in League A.
Three teams are in this group- Germany, France and Netherlands. All three teams will want the first place in the group, but it looks like Netherlands are with the smallest chances. You never have to underestimate Germany, but during the WC they were obviously in cricis and I am not sure what is the situation in the club. Low said that they made big analysis of what really happened in Russia with the team and what led to that group stage elimination. I think it will be a long process until we see the German machine back into the right track. Maybe that sounds a little strange, but this can not happen with a magic wand, they need time to correct the problems they said they know and the world champions can use that in the start of the Nations League when the wound is still fresh.
France are the world champions, everyone knows that and they are a team which can score goals from everywhere. One chance and boom, you are behind in the result. During the WC even the defenders proved they can be useful in attacks and score a bunch of goals. Mandanda and Lloris are out for France, so that's one of the main things to think BTTS can happen in this match.
I started to be very careful when to play BTTS, but here I see a lot of value. Guests are not with their main goalkeepers and also Germany want to prove themselves they started to repair the situation in the team. A few new names are in the squad including Kai Havertz (Bayer Leverkusen), Nico Schulz (Hoffenheim) and Timo Kehrer (PSG). Sami Kedira is out, while everyone knows about the situation with Mesut Ozil. Still Germany have a team with a lot of potential and when we take the fact both teams made 2:2 and 1:2 in the last two matches in Germany, BTTS looks not only tempting, but it requires me to try it. I would not go with it, if the match was in France, but in Germany it looks much easier to happen.
