Brest vs Le Havre (By: Alcuni)
Brest - Le Havre
Brest didn’t find themselves in a difficult trip as was the one at Sochaux. They had plenty of problems in defense having in their GK the best player on the field. They were confused in many moments being out played by Sochaux who scored once in first half and missed another 3 -4 chances o increase the lead. True is also Brest scored by the goal was dis-allowed for an offside position. Second half started in same manner with Sochaux attacking and scoring 2nd goal but after nothing notable in game- we had a quite modest last 40 mins. Really expected more from Brest who have a more capable team than shown in last game. Corentin is injured and will miss this game.
Le Havre still too shy upfront, being at their 2 goalless draws (and 3 draws in total) in first 4 rounds. They hosted Clermont an offensive minded team but somehow the game went 0-0 despite being an alert one, with many chances for both sides. A first half dominated by Le Havre who lost their freshness after the break being lucky not to concede from many Clermont chances. Actually, was a game with 2 goalkeepers in very good shape, both being guilty for the table score saving all what they had to save. Good thing is Le Havre is unbeaten yet, but they scored only 2 goals in 4 games which is way too little for them. At bad news – still the “soap opera” with Ferhat (one of their best midfielder) is not finished yet – he still wants to go at Strasbourg in Ligue1. No fresh missing.
Interesting game here for Brest: after double versus Sochaux (they played also in Coupe de la Ligue in previous week) will come the double versus Le Havre (4 days later those team will meet each other in 2nd round of Coupe de la Ligue – this game taking place on Le Havre stadium). Will the unbeaten series of 13 games in Ligue2 came to an end in this trip? Expect so, Brest being capable of good games in front of their fans. Back Brest to take their first home win this season. gl
