GFC Ajaccio vs Grenoble

GFC Ajaccio – Grenoble

GFC Ajaccio played courageous versus Lorient in last round, losing, at home, in the end 1-3. They seem a bit changed team, playing much more offensive than last season, but in this game paid tribute for this approach. Anyway is interesting to see how coach Cartier will play further in championship. They bring in some quality players so hence this changing. In Coupe de la Ligue they also lost, again 1-3, at Auxerre on a pitch where they won 3-2 couple of rounds before. Some rotation in the squad for this trip, as Cartier used 5-6 starters versus an almost complete Auxerre squad. Palmieri was recovered and made his first apparition in the group while Anziani suffered an injury in Coup game and will miss here.

Grenoble still surprising in this start of the season, taking a new win at home, also 1-0, versus Niort. No doubt, as the season started, they will put plenty of problems to any team at home, being quite powerful. A game they dominated, creating a lot of chances to score but only a single goal in injury time of first half. Also good evolution in Coupe de la Ligue, when traveling at best Ligue 2 team so far, Metz, they were in lead for more than 70 mins, losing 1-2 in the 5th minute of injury time. Must mention that both teams used 4-6 starters since first minute in this game. An interesting team to watch in the near future. Coulibaly and Chergui are bot injured and will miss this trip.

Interesting odds here for a home win. We know always is difficult to play in Corsica and so will be for Grenoble. I think, the guest are overrated for this game keeping in mind the acquisition made by GFC in winter. So I take the chances and back GFC Ajaccio to win – don't see we will see such odds for a GFC Ajaccio (at home) win soon. gl
