ENPPI vs Pyramids (By: Stanioooo)

1st round in the Egyptian Premier league and a match between ENPPI and Pyramids FC.

At first side it looks like a normal match, ENPPI finished 6th during the last season, while the guests finished 9th. They made two draws- 0:0 at this stadium, while the other match finished 1:1.

Well, that's only at first side! ENPPI made some changes and a few players went into the team squad like Amr Hossam(GK) from Petrojet, Fady Nagah(CB) from Mauerwerk Sport Admira, Mohamed Ashraf(MF) from Zamalek, Mahmoud Ghaly(MF) from Tanta, Emad Fathi(AMF) from Zamalek and Mohamed Morsi(AMF) from Tanta. Of course, some of the players from last season's squad also left the club, so now their total market value is about 5.3 mil. euro.

OK, that was the most important I had to say about ENPPI, so now let's start with the more interesting side. In the summer of 2018 the Saudi billionaire Turki al-Sheikh took over the team. Their team name was changed from Al Assiouty Sport to Pyramids FC starting a real revolution on the Egyptian football. Also on 28 June 2018 former Al-Ahly’s coach, Hossam El-Badry, was announced as chairman of the club. But that's not all, of course! They started tremendiously fast with the new signings.

As for the club’s signings so far, it's easily to say this is now a team aiming to compete on all fronts not just for the league title and they’re only getting started. The list of players signed by the club so far includes: Ahmed El Shenawy(GK) from El Zamalek, Mahdi Soliman(GK) from Smouha, Ali Gabr(CB) from Zamalek, Ahmed Mansour(CB) from Masry Port Said, Omar Al Midani(CB) from Hatta Club, Abdallah Bakri(CB) from Smouha, Mohamed Hamdi(LB) from Masry Port Said, Omar Gaber(RB) from Los Angeles, Ragab Bakar(RB) from Smouha, Mohamed Fathi(DMF) from Ismaily, Ahmed Tawfik(DMF) from Zamalek, Mohamed Magdy(AMF) from ENPPI club, Mohamed Farouk(right winger) from Arab Contractors, Nasr Mansi(FW) from El Dakhlia and Zizo(FW) from Arab Contractors.

Maybe, you will say, OK they have totally new team in comparison with the last season, only a few stayed in the club, but that's not all the important for the club till now! They signed some other players with really huge quality and that's Dani Schahin(FW) from Roda Kerkrade and 4 Brazilian players- Rodriguinho(AMF) from Corinthians 5.1 mil euro, Carlos Eduardo(right winger) from Goias 5.2 mil euro, Ribamar(FW) from Atletico Paranaense 4 mil euro and the pearl of the new signings Keno(left winger) from Palmeiras 8.6 mil euro. The last signing of Keno is the most expensive in the Egyptian football!

So, Pymarids are even compared with teams like Man.City or PSG where the president of the club put a lot of money for new signings and is waiting now for the results. Maybe that's just the beginning and Pyramids will make much more transfers like these in the future to strenghten themselves even more and also increase the quality of the Egyptian football. Their team is looking to make the revolution of the Egyptian league and why not to challenge the top guns in Egypt even in this season? Al Ahly have to be really careful this season, not only because Al Assiouty(Pyramids) eliminated them in the quarterfinals in the Egytian cup with 1:0, even when their team was much weaker!

So, I am going with the visitors in this match, although it's the 1st round and both teams will not be in their best form. The difference in quality in huge now and if Pyramids want to do something impressive this season, win in the beginning against opponent like ENPPI is almost required. You can use Pyramids(0AH) if you want to play this safer, it's 1.66 in bet 365, but I see totally the value with the guests here and I am going straight with them.
