Caen vs Le Havre (By: Alcuni)

Caen – LeHavre

Classic of the friendly in last years in France. Ligue 1 outfit Caen will play against Ligue 2 LeHavre.

Caen had a decent season in Ligue 1 finishing above relegation spots, even had a single point more than the team who finished on the play-out spot. They lived dangerously, in the end of the season taken only 3 points in last 10 games in Championship (salvation point was taken in last game versus already champions PSG); somehow, they reduced the engine when relegation seemed not to be a problem but this could have cost them a new season in Ligue2. Some changes in the squad but not so big names though: Oniangue returned in France, Sane returned from Auxerre Crivelli from Angers, Tchokounte from Paris FC and others from lower leagues.

LeHavre had an incredible finish of the season after a tragedy hit the club. They snatched 4th spot with an incredible series of 7 unbeaten games with 6 wins in this gap. Eliminated Brest in playoff semi but lost at penalties versus AC Ajaccio in play-off final after an incredible game – remember with plenty of incidents before the game and during the game ( 4 red cards were shown). Some players returned at their clubs after the loan, including top scorer Mateta and Guitane while other left the team Louiserre and Ayasse. In we can find Bazile from Caen, Leo Principe from Corinthians and Tissoudali from De Graafschap who returned in France. So not so many changes in the team expecting them to continue this good shape from last season (even lost Mateta).

Caen played a single game so far while LeHavre already 4. So I think Ligue2 outfit is more fit and as they did in recent confrontation can overcome Caen. Back LeHavre DNB. gl
