Toronto FC vs Philadelphia
MLS champions Toronto return to home soil to face Philadelphia Union looking to kick start their stuttering MLS campaign.
Toronto are currently bottom of the Eastern Conference which is pretty amazing considering they are the 2017 MLS champions and losing finalists in 2016. A big reason is likely their involvement in the Concacaf Champions League where they recently lost in the final on penalties. Now that is out of the way they can concentrate on the MLS again and do what they do best, win domestic football games.
Instead of a game every 4 or 5 days with constant travel, they have now had a full week rest after their 2-2 draw against Chicago. A match they were leading 2-0 but fatigue could have been a factor in the draw.
Philadelphia are one of the lesser sides in the MLS and will unlikely challenge for a play-off place. Out of their 7 games they have had 5 at home so seeing the Union sat in 8th place in the Eastern Conference doesn't make good reading. They are also one of the worst sides to hit the road, challenging Colorado to be the worst, and are winless in all competitions since May 2017.
Philadelphia aren't showing much quality right now so back the champions to get back to winning ways.
