Brighton vs Tottenham
Brighton host Tottenham in a match of high importance for both teams.
The home side are looking for points to secure theoretically their place in Premier league for the next season, while Tottenham are chasing Liverpool and United for the 2nd place. They also have a good advantage of Chelsea(7 points), so I won't be surprised if they miss the full amount of points here.
Brighton's current form is not the best one. They failed to win in their last two home games against Leicester-0:2(Glen Murray missed a penalty in the last 15 minutes and then they earned 2 goals) and Huddersfield-1:1. Before that they had such an amazing form and home wins in a row even against Arsenal, so it will be a big mistake if Tottenham underestimate them. Pochettino said that he can make some changes and it's not excluded Kane to be on the bench and Llorente to start as a striker. Brighton is expected to be with their best team led by Glen Murray, who will be the main threat for sure, supported by Izquierdo, Knockaert and Gross.
Brighton will miss Propper, because he is suspended and also Steve Sidwell, while Tottenham will be without Harry Winks, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose. As I said Tottenham is expected to start with some rotations in the starting line-up, because they have an important match in FA cup on Saturday against Man United.
Tottenham won their first match for the season (2:0), but it wasn't an easy win for the London side. Now I won't be surprised if Brighton are much more motivated in this match and even snatch the victory. 3 points at home against Tottenham will almost mean theoretically survival, while I really don't believe that Tottenham will miss their place in top 4 having 7 points advantage of Chelsea and their last matches are against Watford, Newcastle and Leicester at home and against WBA as visitors. They can even win every single of these matches, it depends only of the motivation.
To sum up, I'm not sure if Pochittino will play with their best here and will look for 5 wins in the league and try to make his team even 2nd in front of Liverpool and United, if they make one or two mistakes till the end or he will make rotations and will save his main players for United in FA cup. I think BTTS-YES is a good option here as Tottenham is a team, which is often included in matches where both teams succeed to score, while Brighton at home can easily create chances and score. Their main problem in the weak performance in defense and the London side can use that even with some players with less time in the league.
BTTS in my pick here. Good luck!
