Reading vs Sunderland
Reading welcome Sunderland to the Madejski Stadium knowing a win would significantly boost their chances of avoiding relegation from the Championship while virtually condemning Sunderland to League One.
Reading have recently appointed Paul Clement as boss and the players have responded by winning their first 2 home games under him. The Royals could also have easily picked up something on the road at Fulham but went down to a narrow 1-0 defeat. Fulham are the form side of the Championship so to go there and almost pick up a result shows great improvement under Clement.
Midfielder Leandro Bacuna is suspended after being sent off in the 1-0 defeat by Fulham on Tuesday. Reading will look to Mo Barrow for goals being their top scorer.
Sunderland are in 23rd place have won just one of their past 14 games with their past two game ending in 1-1 draws. They did recently beat Derby 4-1 away from home but that can only be described as a freak result as that is their only win since January.
Captain John O’Shea will be missing for the Black Cats but other than that they should be able to field a strong squad.
Chris Coleman's side lie six points from safety and could be all but relegated should they lose to Reading.
