GFC Ajaccio vs Auxerre (By: Alcuni)

GFC Ajaccio – Auxerre

Without a win in last 9 games and playing a poor football, GFC Ajaccio is only 4 points above play-out/relegation spot and without improving soon they easily could slide in the table on a direct relegation spot (which I guess will happens till the end). With such a negative coach is no wonder why GFC Ajaccio avoid to play many times offensively. Because I saw few of their games when dare much than usual and that football paid off. In previous game they stopped Paris FC from their promotion race, kept them to a 0-0. Hero was again GK Elana who saved a penalty during the game also others. Too shy upfront having a single dangerous shoot on goal (hitting the post).

Auxerre is alternating wins with defeats lately, becoming a team who can’t be easily to read. Expected them to win versus Quevilly (was a strange game overall with that fight between Polomat (who was excluded from the squad) and Barreto ( only suspended) ) lost 1-4 and to have difficulties versus Bourg Peronnas keeping in mind they had a lot of suspended players ( actually they played without 5 starters). But won 3-1. Wasn’t at all an easy game Bourg putting a lot of fight but also making plenty of mistakes. The man of the game was Philippoteaux – he scored all 3 goals for Auxerre. Must mention that Bourg Peronnas missed at least 3 good chances to level at 2 while Auxerre scored 3rd goal on counter – a bit lucky. For this game only Barreto is suspended while other 3 important players, including captain Adeoti, are back in the squad.

Hope Auxerre not to shown poor display as per the previous trip. With a GFC Ajaccio in poor shape I see Auxerre taking a new win. 0-2 here. gl
