Oxford United vs Peterborough
Out of form Oxford United look to get their season back on track as The Posh come to town looking to continue their promotion push under new boss Steve Evans.
Oxford United had a good start to the season but have recently plummeted down the League One table and currently sit in 17th position, just 4 points above the relegation zone. They sit bottom of the form table in the last 5 rounds with just a single point, this was a 0-0 away draw to relegation threatened Northampton Town.
Oxford will be without Joe Rothwell (27apps), Robbie Hall (11apps) and Curtis Nelson(16apps) for the clash with Peterborough. All 3 players have featured quite a lot this season in their respective positions so will likely be missed somewhat.
Peterborough have recently appointed Steve Evans as their new manager. Evans has always wanted to manage the Posh and with being good friends with Barry Fry this was always just a matter of time. This was helped, however, with Evan's good work with former club Mansfield Town who are now strong candidates for promotion from League Two.
Since the managerial change Peterborough have had a 100% record thanks to wins over Charlton and Bury and there wouldn't be any surprise to see this become a hat-trick when they face out-of-sorts Oxford United at the Kassam. Already sitting in the play-off spots in 6th place, a win could see them move above Scunthorpe into 5th place.
Just Gwion Edwards and Alex Penny and missing for the away side so Jack Marriott will be looking to add to his 22 goal tally this season.
Bet based on Petrerborough's upturn in form since their new manager took charge.
