Valenciennes vs Paris FC (By: Alcuni)

Valenciennes - Paris FC

Of course, neither Valenciennes played last week due the tragedy hit Tours. They are coming after 2 games where they didn’t score a single goal. They lost vs Auxerre on the road and somehow surprisingly at home versus Orleans. So not too many changings in their evolution, remaining the same team with up/down results. After a 2-0 home win versus promotion contender Ajaccio came a defeat 0-1 versus a mid table team. They are living dangerous, the distance between them and relegation spots being only 8 points. Ambri and Niakate are new players added to the injured players list. Nery is suspended for this game. On the other hand they recovered 3 good players for this game: Ciss, Nangis and Thiago.

After losing last 2 games in injury times (vs Brest 0-1 and vs Nimes 1-2) both games played Saturday at noon, Paris FC finally won 2-0 versus Sochaux in their 3rd consecutive games played Saturday at noon. They did same kind of game, trying to be more focused on defense. Hosting a depleted team they didn’t had so many emotions taking a clear win; As in previous 2 games, a goal was scored in injury time but this time wasn’t a decisive goal. Thanks to this win they stay close to top teams involved in the promotion battle, being now 2 points behind 3rd spot occupied by AC Ajaccio. Akichi is suspended for this trip – he played all 29 games so far for Paris FC. Bong and Alami are recovered and back in squad.

Paris FC is still a draw specialist and on the road, they are happy with that. Maybe now they will avoid a goal against them in injury time and another awkward defeat. Back the draw. gl
