Nancy vs GFC Ajaccio (By: Alcuni)

Nancy - GFC Ajaccio

As expected, playing on the road against Chateauroux one of the hottest team in the ligue these days, Nancy collected their 4th defeat in a row and surprise/ surprise they are now on a play-out spot, being 18th in table with 25 points. Is not a wonder keeping in mind they took a single win and 2 draws in first 9 rounds in 2018. A blazed team, showing nothing good for a long period. Also their fans are upset and part of them didn’t support them. For sure their goal is to stay in Ligue 2 this season and to remake a new team for next season, letting leave plenty of players over 30 years putting accent on youngsters. But still to go till this happens. For the moment they seems to be in a mental blockage. No fresh injuries. Koura is back in the squad.

Also a team in a bad shape is GFC Ajaccio. With a negative minded coach as Cartier, is not a big surprise why GFC is not up in table. They put an end to their 5 defeats series, taking a draw 1-1 at home against Lens (another team in poor shape – so not a big result overall). For a defensive minded team you should expect to concede few goals but a tally of 14 goals conceded in last 5 games is too much. A mixed schedule till the end of the season and with some wins on their own pitch or/and against teams which are in the bottom part of the table they can survive in Ligue2. Marveaux and Kemen are injured and will not travel for this game.

We can consider this a relegation derby, a 6 points game between 2 of the ugliest teams in the Ligue2. A game which not promise to much, a game to avoid watching. Two poor teams will try to win here but in the end they will share the point in a goalless draw. gl
