Valencia vs Fenerbahce

Euroleague, Round 17

I like here road favorite, I like Fenerbahce very much. The line is moving against Fenerbahce but in fact this is the reason I like away win even more cause now IMO we have very nice value in Fenerbahce odds.

Two reasons for odds of Fenerbahce going up. First, two straight victories for Valencia. Second, Fenerbahce has new injury problem. But IMO this is not enough to prevent guests of winning today's game.

Those two straight victories for Valencia have been at home over Panatinaikos, 67:63 and then in previous round away against Unicaja 83:85. Is this a sign of improved Valencia form? I don't think so. I mean, PAO is strong team who could be on Final 4 tournament but they have been very poor on that Day 15 in Valencia. In any case, two tied victories IMO can't erase those terrible performance earlier and ten straight losses for Valencia.

As for the mentioned injury, it's James Nunnally who got injured after that scarry fall in last round win over Baskonia. His absence is blow for Fenerbahce but not so huge IMO. Nikola Kalinic is the other absent player in Fenerbahce roster. But he is absent pretty much entire season. Not to mention Valencia has their own problems with pretty long injury list.

Someone can argue that Fenerbahce was not too great on the road this season and there is some truth in that claim but note their 5-3 away from home is pretty respectable cause in fact no one won more than five times on the road.

I have impression Fenerbahce won't need today some outstanding performance to win the game. One solid performance should be enough if you ask me.

Valencia is Euroleague worst when it comes to rebounding and this fact could be crucial beside clearly much better coach on Fenerbahce bench.

The first mutual game played in Istanbul finished with 79:66 Fenerbahce win.

There is a more serious injury-Vesely. Without him where will be problems in the paint. And San Emeterio is ready to play.

Spot on, should be an optimum effort win for Fener.
