Embiid is back in action and he looks just as good a he was before, despite the fact that he was sidelined for three weeks. He recorded back-to-back double-doubles with at least 21 points, in those first two games since his return and he is doing so efficiently shooting with 63% from the field and 44% from long range, while the most important thing is that he doesn't appear to be in any kind of minutes restriction as he comes from a 35 minute game in that loss against the Hawks.
The Celtics allow the 6th most points in the league to opposing Centers this season. Unlike some other teams that allow far too many points from the same position, but actually have good big men/ rim protectors, like the Pacers (1st) or the Nuggets (2nd), with the Celtics it's easier to connect the dots as they are in need of a solid defensive big guy and at the same time they have a fairly small lineup. With Kanter and R.Williams sidelined, things are even tougher for the Celtics in Center position.
Embiid had a huge game against the Celtics last month, with 38 points (season-high) and 13 rebounds. The Celtics will once again have a lot of trouble matching Embiid size and strength, especially when he decides to post up or attack the basket and he is due for another big game here, while this is a very reasonable line at 24 points.
