Memphis Grizzlies vs Indiana Pacers
Game: Memphis - Indiana
Bet: TJ Warren over 16,5
Grizzlies are hosting the Pacers on Monday.
It's a new era in Memphis this year. Last year they parted ways with Gasol and Conley and with them the grinding defensive way of playing is gone. This year the team is playing fun fast pace basketball (they rank 6th in pace with just over 104 possesions per game), led by rookie Morant and sophomore Jackson. With such a fast pace there is not much room for great defense. This shows as they are dead last in defending the SF position with over 24 points allowed per game.
TJ Warren is a new additon in the Pacers team and he is playing very good lately. He is averaging 17,9 ppg and 23,5 over his last 4 games. His scoring streak started against this very Grizzlies team as he scored 26 against them one week ago. Another thing going for this tip is that he is scoring 19,5 ppg when playing away from home compared to 16,5 ppg at home.
Indiana doesn't have any noticeable absences, while Memphis will miss Morant, Clarke, Anderson and possibly even Valanciunas.
With all the absences in Memphis there is a possibility of a blow out, but I still feel pretty confident in the pick with a medium stake.
