Den Haag didn't appear that poor as the final result says in a 4:0 loss away to Utrecht. It was simply a day when nothing went in their favor, as the hosts scored their goals somewhat way too easy.
Still, the guests were very passive in the first halftime, conceding a goal deservedly but reacting better in the second. Even so, despite some decent phases created - the team was conceding goals easily. On the other side, they didn't manage to exploit some of the decent opportunities created - not even a penalty kick awarded towards the end of the game.
Getting back to home matches, no doubt that Den Haag wants to continue their decent moment having now five consecutive matches with no loss at home. They still stand second from the bottom with just three points less than safely placed Venlo.
Summerville and Immers continue to lead their attack in a 4-3-1-2 formation. Central defender Beugelsdijk (17/1) should be the only absentee worry for the hosts.
Vitesse didn't react well last weekend when the team took just a point in a 1:1 game against Emmen despite being huge favorites. Everything has started in a good manner for them, as the hosts took the lead via Linssen in the nineteenth minute.
They continued having more of the ball possession, but the second halftime was much more opened from both teams, as the guests managed to level up via de Leeuw in the 58th. Vitesse tried till the end, but without further scoreline change.
They just paid the price for not being concrete and effective enough even though they stood like a commanding side on eh field for most of the game. Vitesse is now undefeated in the last five Eredivisie rounds but remains only at the sixth position at the table and a victory is a priority in this one.
The guests will play with Matavz upfront, in a version of a 4-2-3-1 formation. Offensive midfielder Musonda (3/0) and defender Dasa (6/0) remain out for some time already, as the guests actually have no real selection problems making the squad.
Den Haag got outplayed last time out away, but the different energy is in their club when they play in front of their own fans.
Vitesse remains a favorite here, however, I can't see them having an easy game. Under Pardew, the hosts are moving the ball way better and should appear as offensive and threatening in this one as possible.
