West Ham vs Arsenal prediction
After a surprising and actually a shocking victory away to Chelsea at the end of November, players of West Ham couldn't continue in the same manner away to Wolves last Wednesday night.
The team actually didn't look that bad, but the circumstances neither gone to their favor, with the Wolves taking the lead out of pretty equal first halftime.
The hosts were still better in the second and definitely did deserve the three-pointer that they sealed towards the end of the game.
The Hammers now only have that victory away to Chelsea out of the last nine rounds and are in need to respond better in this one. The team is now just a point above the red zone placed Southampton.
Goalkeeper Fabianski (7/0) is out injured, as well as offensive midfielder Lanzini (11/0). Offensive midfielder Snodgrass (10/2) is doubtful, as well as midfielder Wilshere (6/0) and offensive Antonio (5/1).
Arsenal was set as a huge favorite in their home game against Brighton last Thursday night, but the Gunners once again found a way to disappoint in a 1:2 loss.
They were very passive in the first halftime and weren't as dangerous as usual, allowing simply a lot to their opponents.
The team looked better in the second and found an equalizer via Lacazette, but trying to risk more towards the end didn't pay off to them, as they once again looked and were vulnerable at the back conceding the goal in the 80th minute.
They now have no victory in the last seven rounds, overall in the last nine competitive matches, is already five points behind the Europa League placed Manchester United at the moment just four points above the relegating placed Southampton as well.
The Gunners should miss midfielder C|eballos (11/0), while doubtful remains central back Holding (1/0) for the moment.
Arsenal has conceded at least 2 goals in their last 4 matches (Premier League).
West Ham is not in a perfect momentum, but either can't await a much better opponent in order to recover and regain some confidence.
Exactly the same can be said for the Gunners who are also in a must-win situation in order to improve the situation around the club at least a bit.
Overall very open game from both teams is what I expect, with the Hammes being also completely competitive and dangerous opponent as Arsenal remains to be, despite many flaws that they have.
