Zenit St Petersburg vs Dinamo Moscow
Zenit comes into this one from a narrow home victory against Spartak Moscow last Sunday afternoon with a 1:0 result.
The only goal came as an own one, back in the 21st minute, while the hosts complicated the match a lot with a red-carded given to Ozdoev at the start of the second halftime.
Even so, the players of Spartak weren't able to create many dangerous situations but still have held the ball much more to their own feet and had control over it towards the end.
Still, it was fourth consecutive victory overall and third consecutive in the Premier League, as Zenit stands already eight points above the second-placed Lokomotiv Moscow. They are awaiting important Champions League clash against Benfica as well next Tuesday.
Offensive midfielder Malcom (2/0) is still out injured, same as central back Mammana (2/0) and most likely goalkeeper Lunev (11/0). Central midfielder Ozdoev (17/3) is suspended after being sent-off, while doubtful are full-back/midfielder Zhirkov (14/2) and midfielder Kuzyaev (11/0).
Dynamo Moscow got into a really nice period now, for the team of their quality and standards, as the side remains undefeated in the last six rounds of the Premiership following quite a difficult schedule as well.
Most recently, they managed to surprise Lokomotiv Moscow away from home celebrating a 1:2 three-pointer.
A goal from Philipp (the second one from the penalty kick) in each halftime was enough for the victory, in a game where they managed to present themselves as a very threatening side overall using fast transition and counter attacks more than well.
They are now at the sixth position, far away from the European tickets but also at more than the satisfying distance from the relegation zone at the moment.
The guests should miss central back Evegniev (11/0), plus probably midfielder Joazinho (11/0), left back Pliev (10/0) and offensive midfielder Hiljemark (4/0) with all coming off from injuries.
There's plenty of more individual quality that speaks in favor of Zenit and I simply can't look past that.
Dynamo improved recently and surprised a bit, that's what makes the odds juicy now, but I still don't see them being completely able to match up against in-form and very defensively tight Zenit.
