Angers vs Marseille

Angers didn't manage to maintain the momentum last weekend away to Nice, as the team suffered quite convincing 3:1 defeat in the end.

Even though they took the lead in the 22nd minute via Fulgini, it was pretty much against the flow of the game and they quickly stood leveled up.

The second halftime started with a goal from the home team, that proved to be more concrete with the ball to their feet and simply more effective.

Thanks to their great start, Amiens remains at great third position for the moment, although it's just three points away from the second part of the table actually.

The home side misses forward Kanga (4/0), central back Traore (11/0) and offensive midfielder Ninga (12/3) due to injuries. Left-back Ait Nouri (12/0) should neither play, while doubtful remains forward Bahoken (9/2).

Marseille now comes from fourth consecutive victory in Ligue 1, not showing always very convincing and reputable performances, however pulling out the result at the end when needed the most.

Something that separates big teams from the rest of the competition. Most recently it was a 2:1 home victory over Brest last Friday night.

They were far better than the opponent and deserved to have more than a goal lead before the last phase of the match, but still found a way to make it complicated by conceding the equalizer in the 88th minute, but thanks to a goal from Radonjic in the next minutes, they got the much needed and deserved victory after all.

The side is now second at the table with five points less than PSG, but having a great chance to make a further gap between them and the third-placed team now.

Forward Thauvin (1/0) should be the only injury worry for the in-form visiting side.

Marseille have won their last 4 matches (Ligue 1).

It must be said that Angers doesn't seem actually that convincing in their recent matches as at the very start of the season, while Marseille seems to be picking up some better form recently.

The visitors are still not to be trusted completely, but if any of the teams is to prevail, that would probably be Marseille that has more options in attack, from the bench too.

Angers is very good at home and Marseille straggles to get points away (they lost against Amines, PSG, draw with Dijon and likely wouldn't win against Toulouse too if they haven't played with 10 man after 42th min). I don't think they can win here. IMHO (0)1 Is more possible.
