KV Kortrijk vs Gent prediction

Kortrijk managed to walk away undefeated on the road to Anderlecht last weekend, in a goalless game in which they were set as huge underdog.

It was only logical for them to be passive, surely strugling at some moments at the back, but still remaining quite firm even with a couple of chances missed during the game.

Even though the side is without a victory in last five rounds, this point comes as a huge morale-boosting factor for them after four defeats in a row.

The side is now at the thirteenth position with fifteen points earned out of sixteen rounds.

First choice goalkeeper Bruzzese (15/0) is out injured. Midfielder Ivanof (2/0) remains a long-term absentee, while defenders Rougeaux (8/0) and Kagelmacher (14/1) are doubtful.

Gent continued their struggle in Jupiler League with a 1:1 draw at home against Antwerp last weekend.

They have made a perfect start and took the lead via a goal from Yaremchuk, but paid the price of lacking the initiative since then.

The players were simply behaving like they just want the match to finish and it cost them dearly in the fourth minute of added time when Gano scored the equalizer.

The side is now without a victory in the last two rounds, being at the fifth position at the moment - two points above the out of playoff zone placed teams, but also two points behind the second-placed Charleroi.

They come from a goalless game away to St Etienne in the Europa League, locking down the progress further to the knockout stage with a 2-3-0 record for now.

The guests have no fresh injury worries. Offensive midfielder Chakvetadze remains long term absentee, without playing so far anyway in the season.

It's pretty much a game where both teams will simply need to chase a victory in order to boost their morales, but also find a way to avoid further downtrend in form.

Since they both work far better in the attack then on the road, it's only very likely to expect goals on both ends.
