Central Coast Mariners had a very good game despite the defeat to Western Sydney (2:1). They deserved at least the point and they are really better than last year's bad team.

Newcastle Jets starts the season with a local derby, as they didn't had to play a fixture to the first week of the season. They kept the same coach, but they lost several important players during summer. Their squad is weakened in comparison with the last season.

I see Mariners winning this one, odds are crazy and not reflect the reality. They are fast and dangerous with Tommy Oar and Jordan Murray in the attack.
