VfB Stuttgart vs Bochum (By: DamirJ)

Stuttgart looked like a real favorite away to Aue last weekend, however, the team only managed to walk away with a point in a goalless game.

However, must be said, that they were far better and more dominant overall, but weren't able to make that extra punch.

Additionally, they stood playing with a man less in the 67th minute and were unable to risk properly, but did remain better on the field even in the last phase of the match despite the numerical disadvantage.

Forward Mario Gomez is unlikely to play here. Central back Kaminski (1/0) and defensive midfielder Mangala (2/0) are injured. Defender Sosa (4/0) is suspended.

Once again Bochum showed that no matter how good they look in the offense, their defensive performances cost them too much.

The team comes from a 3:3 game at home against Wehen, as they conceded two goals inside the first twenty minutes and were three goals down after the first part.

Their goals came in second when the team looked far better and allowed less at the back, but still could be satisfied after everything that happened, since they leveled up from a penalty kick in the 90th minute.

Despite showing more at times, the side has just two points out of the first four rounds and are just a point above last-placed Wehen.

Midfielder Bapoh (3/1) is suspended for the guests, with central defender Leitsch being injured.

Bochum sacked their coach after the previous game, but some bigger and positive response is unlikely in my eyes. Promotional favorites Stuttgart look too strong at the moment for Bochum.

The guests might score but remain too weak at the back. On the other side, Stuttgart alone is capable of scoring three.
