Bohemians seems to be favoiurite team here, in spite of many players injuried in last two months - topscorer Corcoran (7g), Barry ( def. 11+3), Cornwall ( def. 11), Devaney ( midf. 12 1g)- they are in a run of four matches without defeats ( 3-1-0).
Anyway, apart the trash 5-3 of weak Derry, they scored four goals in remaining three matches, two of them against Shamrock, both scored bi second scorer Mandriou (6g), today doubtful and one of them by penalty, another two, one own goal and another one at the end of match, against Waterford. Apart Mandriou, Bohemians have also Buckley ( midf. 16 1g), whila recover no one from list of absentees and Barker ( midf.4g) is a new missing.
On the other front, Cork is doing a bad season and in the week two players gone from the team, topscorer Cummins (5g) and Comerford ( midf. 8+6), while various players are out, among them Griffin ( def. 12+2), while Sheppard ( att. 17+1 2g) is doubtful.
Cork changed trainer, but resulsts continue to lack for them, in last round only a scoreless draw against poor Finn Harps. But they already won both previous meetings of ghe season in league against Bohs ( and won in league Cup, too), for guests good resulsts in spite of important absences in latest matches, but trainer admits that already on monday they were at barebones and only few days to recover plus new problems specially upfront.
I think in a cautious match for Cork, in search for a win but cannot suffer another defeat after little signals of improvements ( 0-3-1 in last four rounds), but also Bohemians, with many problems in attack and tired shouldn't be so aggressive.
Statistically, Cork scored only eight goals in ten home matches, Bohs suffered seven goals in eleven matches far from home.
