Brazil vs Argentina (By: Hardcore)
Another semi for Argentina. After their historical failures against Chile during the final games of 2015 Copa America Chile and 2016 Copa America USA (both times lost on penalties to Chile), they now face Brazil at Belo Borizonte.
Brazil is expected to start their offence with Coutinho, Everton, Firmino and Gabriel Jesus. Richarlison did not play in the previous round and is once again doubtful but he should make the bench and possibly play few minutes as a sub if needed. Casemiro returns from his suspension and he's probably going to replace Allan while Fernandinho is still on the questionable list. In my opinion Brazil's defence is not that good. Their fullbacks Dani Alves and Felipe Luis (Alex Sandro) are not that good at tracking back and if Argentina goes wide they can exploit this and score, especially on Dani's side.
Looking at Argentina's offence with Messi, Aguero and Lautaro Martinez of Inter, I feel confident in their attacking ability at this stage. And while they haven't been convincing at all throughout the group stage (Colombia 0-2, Paraguay 1-1) this might be their time to shine.
While Argentina won both of their last two games in handicap (Qatar 2-0, Venezuela 2-0) having scored 4 and conceded none, Brazil scraped by Paraguay after penalties. Pressure is maybe even higher for Brazil as they are playing at home with high expectations but after that last game and seeing how Paraguay managed to stay unbeaten, Argentina must feel good about themselves.
This Copa has been super disappointing for goals in the playoff stage (0-0, 0-0, 0-0, 0-2) with three penalty shootouts but this is a matchup that I like very much and I feel good about this bet after thinking about it throughly.
