Romania U21 vs Croatia U21 (By: PlayMaker)

Located in the same table with the presence of two "big team" England and France, U21 Romania and U21 Croatia understand that the opportunity to compete for top 2 of group will be extremely fierce. Therefore, both youth teams must fight hard to win all 3 points in a direct confrontation.

Croatia U21 entered the European U21 finals this year after passing impressive qualifiers, especially in attack. Accordingly, after 10 rounds, "Vatreni" conceded their opponent 31 times, averaging more than 3 goals per game.

U21 Romania played very impressively in the qualifying stage. Despite being with Portugal, Romania suddenly placed on the opponent to make the 1st position. It is worth mentioning that Romania U21 did not lose any match with 7 wins, 3 draws.

However, the opponent of Romania this match is clearly better. They came out on top of Group A when they won 8/10 victories. Even in recent friendlies, the Croatian U21 also gained favorable results against France and Italy.

In general, the ability of U21 Romania is not overestimated, when the majority of players compete in the domestic tournament. If put on the balance, it will be very difficult for this team to share with Croatia U21. Remember, the Croatian U21 have a bright name, Nikola Vlasic is being hunted by many European clubs after an impressive season at CSKA Moscow.

Croatia is clearly the favorite but Romania is surely underestimated.

Romania is the 2nd most supported team in the championship after Italy, who is at home.
Romania only lost 2 matches in the last 2 years, in England (1-2) and in Spain (0-1). Those were two friendlies and the best 11 was not used, no official match lost.
This u21 Romanian team is probably the most talented and respected in the last 20years+ so there is a lot of confidence surrounding the group which is has a great chemistry.
The only missing is new Ajax signing Razvan Marin who was not allowed to play by Ajax. All eyes are on Hagi (probably new Sevilla player), he is expected to lead the team like his father.

Just some thoughts, Croatia should win on the paper but odds on Romania are dropping because it may have the element of surprise.
