Netherlands vs England (By: PlayMaker)

After the success of the Nations League group stage, the Netherlands entered the Euro 2020 qualifying series, but due to the poor performance of the past few years, Ronald Koeman's team have been placed in the group with the participation of Germany and they were unable to recreate their victory over rivals in the Nations League before, and must take the first defeat. This more or less caused De Jong and his teammates to be less excited before entering the semifinals with England.

In fact, Netherlands was not inferior to England in the past achievements, even they were slightly better with 2 wins and 1 losing match in the last 3 times. Along with the success of Ajax Amsterdam in the European arena, many of their young stars have also confirmed their qualities and made a significant contribution to bringing the Orange Tornado back to the position in the top European teams as well as in the world.

Meanwhile, the Three Lions are also gradually proving their skills with the young players being coached by Gareth Southgate for the 2018 World Cup. He successfully created and helped England win the 4th place in the WC, followed by that the Three Lions surpassed Croatia and Spain to win the semi-finals for the League League first season. So the Three Lions are still somewhat better than the Dutch in the next match.

Both teams are showing a strong comeback, along with the youthful pace of play that is also helping the audience to hope for an exciting match. However, Netherlands is getting more expectation when they have many bright stars such as de Ligt, van Dijk, de Jong or Depay who are playing very successfully at Europe's top leagues.

Thanks to the rejuvenation of the squad, the desire of the two team to devote is much larger, which often gives fans the exciting matches with lots of goals. While Netherlands are in the last 6/8 matches, all of England's last 5 matches have at least 3 goals scored. Therefore it is not surprising that the two teams will continue to show off their attractive attacking play. However, considering the fatigue of most key players in English side, I think they will play more or less defensively in this clash. After all, looking at clear superior class of England, I think they can manage to find a win, with goals scoring from both.

I think people are overestimating the players of Ajax and also Holland team in overall. Their success recently was just phenomenal and didn't come from a long term process. If we look at the recent youth tournament as U17 U19 and U21 in Europe we couldn't find where they are the Dutch teams.
I see Holland will fail again an English side as the way Ajax lost to Tottenham in semi final of UCL. England is much better side who played consistently in past two years , even most of their squad are tired due to C1 and C3 final but I see they will no doubt qualify to joint Portugal in final.
