Sporting Lisbon vs Porto (By: PlayMaker)

FC Porto has 16 times won the Portuguese Cup championship. However, the last time that Porto won in this tournament is in 2011. The main reason why Porto did not win the Cup in the last 8 years is because they are not too salty, only focus on Champions League and Premiera Liga.

However, this season, Porto showed determination from the semi-finals. After 2 times against Braga in the fourth round, Porto won convincingly with a total score of 4-1. In fact, up to now, the Cup is the only title that Porto can win in the 2018/19 campaign.

Because as we know, Porto was soon eliminated by Liverpool in the Champions League quarter-finals. Meanwhile in the Portuguese league, despite winning the last 3 rounds, Porto still have to pity to see Benfica improve the Cup. Benfica finished at No. 1 with 87 points, Porto finished second with 85 points.

Porto of course will put all strength into the final battle with Sporting Lisbon on this evening. The last round of the Portuguese league on May 19, Porto defeated Sporting Lisbon by the score 2-1. It was the match that Porto was kicked at home and certainly at reunion on neutral ground to compete for the Cup, it would not be easy for Porto to continue winning.

Accordingly, Porto this match will not have the service of Iker Casillas, Jesus Manuel Corona and Diogo Leite. However, all of these three cases have had a worthy replacement. Sporting Lisbon also has a lot of worries with the absence of 6 pillars including Rodrigo Battaglia, Francisco Geraldes, Stefan Ristovski, Cristian Borja, Idrissa Doumbia and Miguel Luis.

There are a lot of loss in both teams, I only see a very tight final today.
