Segunda: Guadalajara vs Alcorcon
Guadalajara was very unlucky last Saturday not to win away to Sabadell. The final score of 2-2 leaves them clearly disappointed, as they played clever and came very close to victory, but paid their bad luck, losing a penalty at 64' to make the 1-3, and they accepted the equalizer at injury time. For the third consecutive game Guadalajara stayed away from a victory, but exploiting Alcoyano defeat, they increased the difference from the danger zone to six points. From now on, every point is important and every missed opportunity, like against in Sabadell, can cost significantly for their team. Maybe the difference from the danger zone is not great, but if you look at the fixture program they had in March and the fact that they entered the month with four points of difference from relegation, then it is obvious that there is some improvement to Guadalajara. Striker Ryan Harper and defender Jorge are absent through injury, while Gerard is penalized.
Alcorcon achieved a very important victory last Saturday away to Recreativo Huelva with a score of 1-2. A balanced match with lot of action and many chances for both teams, with guests standing luckier and are now even closer to the dream of promotion. The climate is perfect to Alcorcon as they continue the little wonders and have now reached only three points away from promotion play offs. Counting five wins in the last seven games, they seems to be in best shape. Striker Miguelez (20 games 5 goals) is out injured, while defender Babin (28 games 4 goals) is punished.
Both teams seeking points for their own reasons, Guadalajara to move away from relegation zone and Alcorcon to continue pressing for promotion play offs. We should watch an open game there, Guadalajara never plays for the draw at home, and usually Alcorcon plays fast football, with their last five games finished with over 2.5 goals.
