Primera: Granada vs Sevilla
Granada didn't had good first half against Barcelona and were behind in the score with 2-0, but to the second half they reacted and equalized to 2-2. Barcelona played great after that and scored three more goals, and finally Granada lost 5-3 scoring a late penalty. Anyway, its big deal to score three against Barca, and with this result Granada completed four defeats in their last five games and they are now in 17th place, six points above relegation zone. With a victory tonight, Granada will make a big step to stay in Primera, as they will be nine points from the last trio, nine games before the end of the season. For tonight they will miss midfielder Carlos Martins, who will serve his first two games of his sentence, while Henrique returns from punishment and is expected to take the role of Martins. Goalkeeper Roberto is back to main eleven instead of Julio Cesar. Defenders Nyom and Lopez return to the lineup after being rested against Barcelona.
Sevilla had a good game against Racing, found little resistance and achieved three goals against a team that played with ten players to last 15 minutes, and finally Sevilla won 0-3 away to Santander. With this result they broke a streak of two defeats and three games without a win, and they are now seven points away from the top six. Tonight's match will determine if Sevilla can claim with several chances a European ticket, and therefore they need only the victory. Midfielder Diego Perotti left out to be rested and Jose Antonio Reyes will take his place, who is disappointing so far. Main defender Emir Spahic is out injured.
Granada is looking for a few more points to ensure their stay in Primera, while Sevilla plays one of their last effort for European exit. I expect an open Andalusian derby. Granada at home have failed to score just once in the last eight games, but have received goals from all 9/10 teams they hosted, while 11 out of their last 13 games finished with over 2.5 goals.
