PAOK vs Levadiakos by Isaiah
PAOK is coming from a clear and deserved victory at home over Kerkyra 3:1. The home side started the game too dominant and cleaned the game with three goals in nine minutes, from 25th to 34th minute cleaning the game already in the first halftime which ended with a 3:0 result.
With this victory PAOK returned to successful results, as they previously made a goalless draw away to AEK week earlier, meanwhile they also made the second victory in last four matches being undefeated in those four. Remained third at the table with a point less than Atromitos and although the target in the league for this season is second position, they want to win the Cup too, securing a spot in Europa League for next season, at least.
Defensive midfielder Kace (20/0) is coming back into team from suspension, while central defender Katsikas (16/2) is still not ready enough and will miss third game in a row. Left defender Stafylidis (17/1) is also missing out the match for fourth game, same as central midfielder Fotakis (19/2) and newly signed midfielder Oliseh.
Levadiakos lost the last league match with a narrow 1:0 result away to Asteras Tripolis. They conceded a goal in the last minutes of the match. Although the visitors made a decent performance in the game, they couldn't stand the pressure brought by the hosts, especially in the second half-time when the goal was in the air for most of the half.
The team has confirmed that their form is in a downtrend and it's no surprise that they have 0-2-3 record in the last five league matches and that they went down to seventh position. Although they are just three points away from the play-off positions, with Panathinaikos in-form and their downtrend, it's hard to expect that they reach the play-off stage. The guests will be without left midfielder Noe Acosta (18/0) who will stay out of the game due fitness, while striker Vasiliou (21/7) is back in the squad after serving the suspension.
Although the visitors can make lot of troubles to their hosts, they are in obvious downtrend and hardly can make exception tonight. PAOK is taking the game very seriously and are playing more than well in front of the own fans and will be looking to get a victory that would secure them the next stage.
