Manchester City vs Chelsea by Neuro
Manchester City is continuing their FA Cup story as they won over Leeds few days ago 4:0 at home. Total domination was seen by Manchester City as they needed little to create dangerous situations, as the Championship side was already overwritten in fifteenth minute when the Citizens led by 2:0. Two goals from Aguero, one from Tevez and Toure were enough for a fair victory.
Roberto Mancini was pleased with the victory, gave credit to his players for the performance and also asked for more of the same in weeks to come. Despite the victory, City is not in their best form counting two draws, a loss and a victory in last four matches. The atmosphere in the team could be better as the coach is under pressure, although he neglected it saying that he is the best coach in England. They already lost the title race with the City rivals, but will have to be aware of next matches not to slip down to bigger trouble obtaining second position and direct qualification for Champions League next year.
Team captain and defense leader Kompany is doubtful for today's game, same as midfielder Barry. Beyond these two there are only long term absentees such as defender Richards.
Chelsea is coming from tiring ninety minutes against Sparta Prague as the hosts needed goal in last minute for the final 1:1 score, with which they escaped playing overtime. Guests made a good appearance taking the lead early, while Torres missed way to many chances during the game. Finally, Hazard scored in second minute of additional time for the final progress of London's team.
Rafa Benitez was happy with the final progress over Sparta, trying at the same time to defend out of form Torres (scored one goal in last fourteen matches), saying that he was pleased with the player's effort. Their form seems to be a bit up nowadays, having three victories in a row prior to this draw. Still, there is a lot of room for improvement as they are in a race for Champions League position being only one point above Tottenham and two above Arsenal. Lampard, Ivanovic and Demba Ba are back into the squad as the first two were rested while the third has no right of participation in Europa League.
When speaking about the final outcome, neither of these two clubs is to be trusted a lot. Still, City seems to be in a better form and should be closer to get the victory although the odds aren't worthy at all. The game itself should be an open one, with both teams having enough chances for the both to score bet to be won.
