Ligue1: Montpellier v Nancy by DamirJ
Montpellier is, after a great start in August, still flying high and it looks like there is not a lot of teams in Ligue1 that can stop them at the moment. With a 7-2-2 record from eleven matches, which is a great record for any team in such a equally balanced league, they are lying on 2nd position, three points behind PSG, one of the strongest title contenders this year. Hosts are on a two wins row in ligue with 5-3 win over Dijon at home and 3-1 win on road against Caen. They are also the most effective French team scoring 25 goals in eleven matches. During this week, they also played French league cup and lost to Lorient 1-2, of course resting many first choice players. Garry Bocaly is suspended after being sent off in mid-week league cup game, but Marco Estrada and Joris Marveaux return from bans.
Nancy, on the other side, as predicted before start of the season, will have troubles surviving in French first tier of professional football this season. With a 1-5-5 record, they have only eight points and are one points above last placed team. With only eight goals scored, they are the least effective team in France and with only one point out of five away games, its clear that they cant hope for a good result today, against the team which is the most effective side in Ligue 1.
Giroud and Belhanda, two offensive powers for hosts are working really fine on the pitch and are making most of the difference during the game, weak Nancy simply cant be capable of holding them tonight.
