Ligue 1: Toulouse v Dijon
Pretty simple picture here... We have a stable Ligue 1 side who is getting the most of their points at home against new team in Ligue 1 which lacks experience playing at such a big level and probably more money in order to have better line-up and bigger chances in French top division.
Newcomer in the first league Dijon payed the price of their inexperience in first round when they were outclassed by Rennes 1-5 at home. They put all their effort in attack and actually did quite well there as they also had one goal which was disallowed but shouldn't be, while they left many space for counter attacks in their defense. Although Dijon had some good transfers this summer (Meite from WBA, striker Brice Jovial and defender Souprayen) they still look like second division team. This team doesn't look good as they have very shaky defensive line-up and will probably have hard time surviving this season, it wouldn't be the biggest surprise if they turn out to be new version od Arles 2010/11. Of course, for sure Dijon will have some good matches at home this season but from what they showed against Rennes, they are pretty inexperienced for this level and today they will have very though opponent in Toulouse.
Toulouse started good in first round winning against Ajaccio 1-0 away from home and during transfer period they improved their attacking line with Riviere and Umru Bulut which should certainly be too much for shaky and inexperienced Dijon's defense as Toulouse often lacked offensive power during last seasons. Toulouse is kind of a team which gets most of their points at home and with a win over Ajaccio last weekend they are certainly looking forward to this game and expecting three points that could give them perfect start of the season in which they are expected to fight for Europa League spot.
