Kristiansund vs Ull/Kisa by 20Legend
Top against bottom half here as 1st placed Kristiansund will take on 14th placed Ull/Kisa tonight. Kristiansund has really got things going so far as they rule the league together with 2nd placed Sandefjord at the moment. Today’s host has acquired 33 points in 14 games so far with an intimidating 10-3-1 to show for. They also have a well-organized defense that has only allowed 10 goals past them this season which is the fewest in the league.
Kristiansund is clearly the team in form these days with 4-1-0 in the last five games. They come from another strong win against 6th placed Sandnes Ulf (0-1) last weekend. It is not an easy away game by any means, but it is something different about Kristiansund this season. They have a sharper squad this year, with goal scorers up front combined with a well-organized defense and a hard working midfield. They are unbeaten at home (6-0-0), but they have also managed to take the same confidence away from home (4-3-1) which has been a challenge in their past seasons. No injuries are worrying the team at the moment.
Ull/Kisa is one of the newcomers this season and has experienced a rough start to their campaign after getting promoted. They were rock bottom for a long time, but they have slowly raised two places due to their unbeaten streak of five games (1-4-0). That has put brought them up to 14th place with 12 points from 14 games (2-6-6) so far. It is not enough if they want to stay in the league, but their hard working attitude have definitely paid off recently. Their last game gave them a huge boost with a win against 10th placed Strommen (2-0) at home. It was a really strong game from the newcomers as Strommen was swept aside for the entire game without producing a single chance. Even though Ull/Kisa has been in the relegation zone all season, they never give up and always put up a fight against their opponents.
They have only gone two games without scoring this season which says a lot about their strong group of players that always gives 100% on the pitch. These kinds of teams are hard to take on for any opponent and it is something that the better teams must be aware of in order to beat Ull/Kisa. The team has some negative news ahead of tonight’s game though as midfielder and captain Truls Jorstad (14/3) and the experienced defender Jan Tore Amundsen (14/1) are both suspended with yellow cards. The missing of Jorstad will be a huge factor for the team as he dictates a lot of the offensive and defensive work from his midfield position. In addition Amundsen is the oldest player in the squad and an important figure in this team with his experience and calmness. Their striker Espen Standal (2/1) is still out with his long-term injury.
Krisitansund has been unbeaten at home (6-0-0) so far and it is clearly the worst place to arrive for any opponent right now. They are aiming for direct promotion while Ull/Kisa could not be coming with a more difficult task ahead of them. Ull/Kisa has important missing that does not help their poor away from (0-3-3) either. Kristiansund has no vital injuries to worry about which should really make them control this game from the kick off. I expect Krisitansund to take charge and an early lead is possible. Kristiansund (-1) handicap could be an alternative as well, but I pick Krisitansund to lead at half time.
