Hodd vs Raufoss by 20Legend
Hodd has got a horrible start to their season with one disappointment after another in the first 10 games. 2-2-6 means only eight points which puts them on 14th place at the table in the relegation zone. With the form they have been showing so far, it looks like it will take a lot more than expected for them to get out of the relegation zone in near future. It has been their away form (0-0-5) that have caused their problems, but the club also has major problems on scoring enough goals with just 9 goals in 10 games, while they have conceded 15 goals in as many games.
Hodd is usually not involved in high scoring games which are the case this season as well with six of ten games going under 2.5 goals. It is therefore not too much changes that is needed before some of the narrow losses can be translated into draws and even some wins in order to stay in the division. Hodd got a slight feeling of happiness during their last home match against Ull/Kisa (1-0) with three points. However, it all fell back down last weekend against Fredrikstad (1-0) who is also struggling bigtime this season. It was a dreadful game with few chances involved and two teams that seem to fear conceding goals more than they want to score them.
Raufoss has done slightly better than today’s opponent as they are just above the relegation zone in 12th place. 2-3-5 has given them nine points which has to be decent for a newly promoted team. They have been able to get points because of their fearless attitude towards all of their opponents which paid off ultimately in their last game against Mjondalen (1-1).
It was a game where Raufoss were pretty much outplayed in terms of possession and chances. Mjondalen took the lead early in the second half and created three big chances, but failed to extend it. Raufoss struggled on finding any offensive rhythm during the 90 minutes, but got two chances after all. Their second chance came after 90 minutes with a shot that ended out for a corner. The corner was beautifully executed and with the last kick of the ball, Raufoss managed to level the score and taking a lucky point with them back home. Defender Marius Alm (0/0) is still missing with a long term injury.
It will be a game with two struggling teams involved here and it could be a game without the biggest of chances. Hodd got a win in their last game at home, while Raufoss continues to irritate their opponents by fighting on every dual through the 90 minutes. However, it is important to remember that Hodd has a decent home form (2-2-1) this season while Raufoss has not won during their travels yet (0-2-3). I expect a scenario where Hodd controls possession, while Raufoss continues to lay low and wait for possible counter-attacks. It should therefore be good conditions for another game with less than 2.5 goals tonight.
