Willem II vs PSV
Willem II didn't manage to get point(s) in a narrow 1:0 defeat away to Den Haag before the international break. The game itself was quite a defensive and the teams actually shared ball possession equally, but the players of Den Haag still were more concrete in attack and deserved the difference between two opponents, with a goal from Beugelsdijk in 56th minute.
Guests tried to respond later on, but usually mostly via long shots and quite unfluent play in order to threaten the opponent severely. After this defeat, Willem II remained inside the relegation zone with ten points earned so far, which is the same as safely placed Groningen, but the team will need to revert the things around in case they want to avoid further trouble with the relegation battle. Defenders Dico Koppers (7/0) and Guus Joppen (3/0) are both doubtful due groin problems. Hosts should be playing in 4-2-3-1 formation with Sol as central striker, but also with Abubakar, Falkenburg and Croux as offenive midfielders.
PSV, on the other side, disappointed their fans in a 1:1 draw at home against Twente before the international break. The team was in quite obvious downtrend of their form, since they have only one victory in last four official matches, suffering defeats to Bayern Munich in Champions League, but also being excluded from Cup competition away to Sparta Rotterdam three weeks ago.
Anyway, it must be said that the players of PSV were much better at home against Twente, but it simply wasn't their day as the team dominated completely and actually deserved much more. Guests took the lead first in 53rd minute with a gaol from Unal, but the hosts responded just ten minutes later with a equalizer from Moreno.
Still, the team attacked till the end of the game but without a change on the scoreline even though they deserved. This was their third draw in last five matches in Eredivisie, as the team continued being third at the table - with four points less than Feyenoord and two points less than Ajax, meaning that they are in a must win situation here. PSV is the best traveling team in the league with five victories and just a draw, so their goal here remains nothing but an easy victory. Defender Jorrit Hendrix (7/1) is injured with knee problem, while doubtful for this match remain midfielder Siem De Jong (3/0) and goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet (9/0).
PSV is in a must win situation here and knowing that they had enough time due international break, I expect the team to bounce back with a impressive performance. Willem II, on the other side, knows that they can't just defend and be behind the ball, so the game should be as offensive as possible - making enough space for the visiting team to dominate the game and take all three points with ease.
