Hoffenheim vs Hamburger
Hoffenheim looked more than decent in a point taken away from home against surely the strongest side in the country - Bayern Munich in a 1:1 draw. Of course, players of Bayern had much more of the ball possession, but weren't as dominating as we are used to, having only few more really good chances in comparison to their visitors.
Demirbay brought the visitors into the lead in 16th minute, while Zuber scored an own goal in 34th to seal the final result. Bayern was attacking mostly during the second halftime, however without changing the scoreline after all. This draw broke a run of five consecutive victories of Hoffenheim, but the team remains without a defeat still, standing third at the table with four points less than first and second placed Bayern and Leipzig, being surely in a must win situation here. Hoffenheim should be playing in 3-5-2 formation with Kramaric and Wagner as their strikers. Mark Uth is back from injury, but most likely will be at the bench. Injured remains midfielder Pirmin Schwegler (2/0), plus coule of more long term absentees.
Hamburger, on the other side, comes from yet another negative result, third defeat in a row as they suffered 2:5 defeat in front of own fans against Dortmund before the international break. At least the team improved in offense way, since they scored two goals, in comparison to also two goals scored in first nine rounds of Bundesliga.
Aubameyand from Dortmund had his show in first 50 minutes of the match scoring four goals and bringing the victory to Drotmund, while Hambuerger managed to temporarily reduce via Muller, but Dembele replied back, just to see Muller settling the final 5:2 result in 81st minute. Generally, Hamburger looked improved in offense, however allowed goals way too easily and such defense isn't something with which they can continue with for too long. After yet another disappointment, the team stands at the rock bottom position with two points only so far, which is already six less then safely placed Darmstadt.
Visitors from Hamburg should be lined up in 4-4-2 formation with Gregoritsch and Waldschmidt as strikers. Forward Bobby Wood (9/2) is suspended, while doubtful for this match remain goalkeeper Rene Adler and central defender Emir Spahic. Injured are defender Ashton Gotz (1/0) and midfielder Albin Ekdal (7/0).
- Hamburg have failed to score in 6 of their last 8 away matches (Bundesliga).
Hosts haven't lost a single league game this season and are sitting at the third positon, I believe that their momentum will continue today, since the team can't wait for a better opponent since they welcome less than mediocre Hamburger. Guests have only two points in last ten league matches and shouldn't stay competitive here for way too long.
