Laval vs Strasbourg
After a run of eleven winless matches in a row, players of Laval actually fought back with a really good performance in front of own fans against Reims last weekend as the team looked really impressive, especially in offense and took a 5:2 victory against a very reputable side.
However, things didn't start that bright for them, as the guests took the lead already in second minute with a goal from Chavarria, but not only that - they even doubled up the lead in 26th minute via Kyei. Hosts managed to reduce the deficit five minutes later via Alla, but improved strongly in the second halftime and scored four goals to completely revert the scoreline as the guests collapsed after a penalty missed at the start of second (hosts scored goals via Bayard, All, an own goal and Wissa). Laval is still at the rock bottom position, however now having just a point less than play-out placed Orleans and need to keep impressing in this one as well.
Strasbourg, on the other side, also comes from a rock solid and concrete performance on Monday evening, as the team took a three pointer in very interesting game at home against AC Ajacio in a 4:2 victory. They also were back in the scoreline conceding in 15th minute via Madri, but then improved strongly as well.
They reverted the scoreline within twelve next minutes, via goals from Lienard and Boutaib, played who scored their third in 58th minute, while Guillaume sealed their three pointer in 66th. All the visitors were able was to reduce the deficit in 87th again via Madri, but it must be said that the hosts fully deserved this three pointer. After this victory the team stands at second position with three points less than leaders from Brest and just a point less than third placed Lens, thuss remaining in a must win position for this one.
This game means much more than three points to both sides, one playing for salvation and other for promotion. Therefore, I can't see this game being very closed one, especially not when looking at their offensive record in previous week. Odds surely do have decent value at this moment.
