Gent vs Braga

Gent started their Europa League campaign really wel, with a point taken away to Braga and a victory in front of home crowd against Konyaspor, but the team suffered two defeats against Shakhtar Donetsk, side that is obviously better than the rest of the group - thus, the side from Belgium will now have to play probably decicing game against Braga, since the team can't afford to lose it.

In a very open game last time out in Europa League, Gent still couldn't compare with efficiency from Ukrainian side, since they lost the match with a 3:5 result. As for the domestic league, players of Genk enter this match after two consecutive 2:0 victories, last one being away from home against Mouscron 2:0 last weekend. It wasn't very interesting game, but the players of Genk looked concrete enough and took the victory deservedly with goals from Perbet and Saief. After these victories, they are at third position having five points less than leaders from Waregem and a point less than second placed Oostende. Home team will miss probably striker Emir Kujovic (1/0).

Braga, on the other side, took a convincing 3:1 home victory over Konyaspor last time out in Europa League, three pointer that improved their chances of reaching the knockout stage later on. Worth saying is that the Turkish side took the lead, but the hosts responded well thanks to goals from Velazquez and Eduardo in the first halftime, while they played with a man less from 38th to 54th minute.

Second halftime was also spent in their slight domination, while the final result was sealed in seventh minute of additional time with a goal from Horta. Braga took a victory over Santa Clara in Taca de Portugal last weekend 2:1 in front of own fans, while the team currently stands at fifth position in Primera Liga, having just a point less than second and third placed Porto and Sporting Lisbon. Doubtful is forward Ahmed Hassan (8/1). Injured remain defenders Andre Pinto (4/1) and Emiliano Velazquez (2/0), while suspended for this match is midfielder Mauro (8/0).

In my eyes, Braga somehow remains as a side with bigger individual quality. Portuguese side will need to attack here and be more dominant, while the home team will probably be content with a draw as well. Braga weren't better in the first leg, but I expect things to be pretty much different this time around.
