Clausura: Arsenal Sarandi vs Newells by Sunshine
Arsenal Sarandi finished their adventure for Copa Libertadores last week when they welcomed Fluminense, and despite the fact that they were without motivation and had nothing to play for, with a lot of reserves to their line up, they had a good game and received the defeat at injury time. Now their goal is to finish to the best possible position in Clausura, and from now on they should stop any rotation. Of course they want to improve their home record and the special points on the relegation standings, although they are not expected to face problems with this. Before the match against Fluminense, Arsenal Sarandi lost away to Union Santa Fe after five back to back victories. Their performance was mediocre and the fair result could be the draw as they had two good opportunities to tie the score. Three main eleven players will miss today for different reasons, midfielder Jorge Ortiz (3 goals scored), forward Luciano Leguizamon (4 goals score) and defender Guillermo Burdisso (5 goals scored).
Newells Old Boys runs Is running an unbeaten streak of six games, and they started perfoming really well at the moment. In this period they count five and one draw, while they conceded goals only against Godoy Cruz on April 8. Their coach still keeps a low profile despite the fact that just after the victory over Banfield they found to be to the first place in the standings together with Boca Juniors. Main defender Victor Lopez is injured, midfielder Pablo Perez (4 goals scored) is punished, the same with forward Victor Aquino (1 goal scored), while midfielder Diego Mateo (1 goal scored) is out injured. Midfielder Leonel Vangioni is back to midfield.
Odds are settled incorrectly in my opinion. Newells are a better team than odds showing at the moment, and I usually get advantage of such prices. Newells never lost against Sarandi during the last three years.
