Kirsten Flipkens and Lucie Hradecka will compete this evening for the first title of their careers, in the final of Quebec City Open. The belgian player has shown an impressive run of form in francophone Canada, winning againt strong opponents such as Cibulkova, Mirjana Lucic, Anna Tatishvili and in the semis Mona Barthel was the victim. On the other side, the powerfull Hradecka, a very good doubles player won againt lesser known opposition and i have to admit i didn't credit her with many chances to reach this fase of the competition given the fact that she struggled in the previous months winning only one match in the last seven. Flipkens knocks on the doors of the top 100 and regardless of tonight's final result she will pass this treshold once again and even if Hradecka is placed much better in the rankings I regard Kirsten as the favorite; she has shown a much more consistent game at this tournament than the czech and I think overall she is more gifted than Hradecka and I hope that she will rise to the challenge and win in her first WTA final.
