Netherlands vs Turkey by Snake

This is a match from Group D where are also the teams of Romania, Hungary, Estonia and Andorra.

From the first point of view it seems that these 2 opponents will be the "big teams" in the group and will fight for the top 2 spots.

Netherlands were so bad at the European Championship that t hey didn't even manage to get a single point in their group.

After their terrible perfomence , Louis van Gaal came in charge , replacing former coach - Bert van Marwijk.

New coach , of course made some changes as he state that he will no longer rely on Mark van Bommel and Khalid Boulahrouz.

van Gaal made his debut on 15 August , when Netherlands were crushed by Belgium with 4:2.

From what i've read it seems that in the first matches , van Gaal will play without Rafael van der Vaart, Nigel de Jong, Gregory van der Wiel and Ibrahim Affelay, as he state that " they were too busy lately with their transfers in the past weeks".

The other important thing will be uprfront , where he will have to decide who will start amongst van Persie and Huntelaar.

Probable line-up:

Van Rhijn, Heitinga, Mathijsen, Willems

Fer, Sneijder, Strootman

Narsingh, Huntelaar, Robben

Turkey didn't played on the Euro championship, but produce very quality friendly games right before the competition - beating Bulgaria 2:0, Portugal 3:1 and Ukraine 2:0.

They lost only to Austria with 2:0 in mid August.

The big miss will be goalkeeper Volkan Demirel who is missing due to injury. Reserve goalkeeper is Sinan Bolat who is also missing so in this game the 3-rd choice goalkepeer Tolga Zengin will start.

Midfielder Sabri Sarioglu is also missing , alongside with Besiktas striker Mustafa Pektemek.

Both teams will want to start well the campaign for WC 2014 and with the serious missings in the both sides ,the seek of a a high scoring match seems reasonable bet here.
