Malisse vs Ebden by FairPlayBet

Xavier Malisse and Matthew Ebden will meet each other today in R16 of ATP in Los Angeles in match that will be their first ever head to head. No matter of this, I think Malisse knows very well what can expect from Ebden.

At this point both players are with almost the same ranking on ATP, Xavier Malisse is on 72nd while player from Australia is on 78th position. Still, by the current form, advantage should be on the side of player from Belgium. Mallise was in great form before Wimbledon, he had decent result on Wimbledon and he is in good form also now.

On the other side, the best recent result for Ebden was Quarterfinals in Atlanta last week, but Bubka and Blake (players that Ebden beat) are not too strong opponents.

What took my intention is fact that Ebden in last four straight matches and in six of last seven, lost first set. Sometimes he was able to make come back (against weaker opponents), but usually those were defeats at the end.
