Boston Celtics vs Philadelphia by FairPlayBet
My choice will be this low risk bet on Boston Celtics, simple ML win without any handicap line involved.I had the same plan also for the game 5 on this same court when the score was 2-2. But then I gave up since it was not must win game for Celtics while tonight it is and I am willing to risk high amount on this bet.
All results in the series:
Game 6, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston 82:75
Game 5, Boston vs. Philadelphia 76ers 101:85
Game 4, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston 92:83
Game 3, Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston 91:107
Game 2, Boston vs. Philadelphia 76ers 81:82
Game 1, Boston vs. Philadelphia 76ers 92:91
Celtics also won regular season meeting in Boston, 103:79.
We all should be honest and admit that the 76ers played more than well in post-season. Team who was better from one of top favorites (Chicago Bulls) in six games and without home court advantage and team who won 3 games out of 6 against Boston Celtics, deserves every respect. And they have the respect of me, but tonight I am with Celtics. Also should be mentioned (although this does not diminish success of 76ers) that Bulls were without best player Derrick Rose.
Where I see big advantage on the side of Celtics tonight? Primarily in their ages. Many dispute the Celtics chances, mentioning their ages, but this story has been going on for several seasons already, still these old-timers are still among top favorites for championship year after year.
Kevin Garnett could be the deciding factor. This player was the main power of Celtics in many post-season games. His play-off stats (19.3 pts, 10.6 rebounds) were much better than in regular season (15.8, 8.2). Also I have great confidence in guard Rajon Rondo who had not so good regular season (11.9 pts, 11.7 assists) but in play-off he was much better with 15 pts and 12.5 assists per game.
Note that I don't see too much value in these 1.40 odds on Celtics, what more if I need to choose between these two teams in handicap, I would probably take Philadelphia (+6). However, there is no need and it is not time for improvisation, it's 7th play-of game and no matter I expect close game, Celtics should win it at the end.
Interesting fact is that since they made this team with their "Big Three" (Pierce, Garnett and Allen), Celtics were even five times in this 7th game situation (3W 2L), while 76ers never played 7th crucial game since 2001.
So, with a significant advantage in experience as well with home court advantage which is not small, I believe Celtics will reach the East Conference final. Good luck!
