Besiktas vs Trabzonspor by Foxserkan

Last weekend Besiktas drew with Galatasaray at away with last minute goals (2-2). The match was going in midfield but mistake by Besiktas goal keeper Cenk, Galatasaray scored an early goal and headed the game. Besiktas tried to develop some attacks but they could not get well organized. Galatasaray was the better side in knowing what to do and another mistake was Almedia’s own goal which also determined the first half result. Second half Besiktas formation was already changed from 4-3-3 to 4-4-2 by Tayfur Havutcu (Coach of Besiktas). This move by Besiktas’s coach did work out and the visitors became more efficient as they created serious well organized attacks in Galatasaray’s field. Queresma the Portuguese national improved dangerous balls from the wing he was assigned and Besiktas missed some important chances too. But they were more resistive in midfield with especially Ernst and Fernandes. Even being behind 2 goals they reserved their concentration and kept the discipline. Thus they managed to hit the nets by Holosko and with luck they pushed, Ujfalusi by accident made an own goal. And the score was recorded 2-2 in the end of the match. Veli is suspended and will not be in the squad. Fernandes did not attain to the last training and he is doubtful. According to the media he will not be able to play. Necip and Tanju have continues injury and they are not fit. The match can only be watched by women and children due to Besiktas’s penalty by Turkish Football Federation.

It was a big tenseness match last week between Trabzon and Fenerbahce which ended 1-3 in favor of visitors. The stress effected Trabzon more than Fenerbahce who was brought to the stadium under extra ordinary conditions with high security level which is only applied to the state presidents. During the journey from hotel to the pitch many polices and snipers at the bridges and on top of buildings etc.. It was a shame for Turkish football. Emre the midfielder scored a very early goal for Fenerbahce and things became very different right in the beginning. Senol Gunes’s (Trabzon’s Coach) plans were upside down and Trabzon players could only kick Fenerbahce players and could never dominate the game. They simply deserved the defeat by making so many silly mistakes. It was definitely a big mistake in Bienvenu’s second goal which a good defense should not make. Burak the top scorer of Trabzon scored and the first half ended 2-1 which was a hope for the hosts but second half the scenario was the same as Fenerbahce carried out the same patience and good football. The game stopped many times due to the foreign object thrown by Trabzon fans and the stress was always in the match. Trabzon risked for the equalizing goal and thus gave gaps in the defense which caused Fenerbahce’s third goal by Baroni’s class shoot. The game ended 1-3 by Fenerbahce’s victory. Trabzon will visit Besiktas with full squad except Mustafa Yumlu and he can be replaced. It is a big possibility that Giray and Glowacki will form the center midfield.

Both teams look like the same to me. Inconsistent, Incapable to win…. If Trabzon don’t loose they will directly qualify to Europa League for the next year. Besiktas needs an absolute win to achieve Europa League and guarantee it for the new season. Veli is absent and Fernandes is doubtful for the hosts. Also Necip is injured and there will be a serious handicap in Besiktas’s midfield. And if Besiktas coach forms 4-3-3 than the midfield will be lined by Ibrahim Toraman-Aurelio-Ernst which will weaken the midfield. If Fernandes becomes fit and play than things would be much more different and midfield can really be more resistant for Besiktas but the media gives a very small chance to this option. Another handicap for the host team is the lack of main fans who gives a big synergy in important matches like this. Sivok’s return to the team can be counted as a plus for Besiktas for their defense but after his injury
