Liverpool vs Chelsea by Jamesington

Fernando Torres has scored more goals in his past three appearances for Chelsea than he did in the five months which came previously.

While this is an impressive/appalling statistic depending how you look at it, what can not be argued is that Torres is a player who is in form and must be brimming with confidence.

El Nino came off the bench in Barcelona to score the goal which guaranteed his side a place in the Champions League final then scored a hat-trick against QPR five days later, his first for Chelsea.

Torres was unlucky not to start in the FA Cup Final against his former club, at the weekend, but he seems likely to lead the line in this match against the same opposition - taking place only three days later. With a point to prove, given the terrible time he has taken in the press since his move to Chelsea, the Spaniard will be on a mission to re-discover his best form and it seems he is doing so just in time to put one over on his former Employers.

A fully fit, in-form Fernando Torres would never have been available at odds of 3.00 to score anytime when he was a Liverpool player and given his recent burst of goalscoring form I think he is great value to find the net at Anfield.
