This is first mutual game of the season while in recent seasons there was not too much success for Bucks. But now is the new season, new teams, everything is different and the most important current moment when this game will be played is on the side of Milwaukee. So, I believe it's time for Bucks to break the negative series against Trailblazers or if nothing else then at least not to lose with huge margin.
It was very tense in Portland these days, many changes happened. After series of bad results, Trailblazers fired coach Nate McMillan and on his place came Kaleb Canales. He is only interim solution. Also Trailblazers decided to trade two of its very best players. They sent Marcus Camby to Houston and Gerald Wallace to New Jersey. IMO these are huge steps and we will have to wait to see if this was smart. But somehow I just don't think so, especially in case of Wallace. No matter of this Canales had good start with win over Chicago Bulls who have the best NBA record, while in second game they easily lost in Oklahoma. The time will show, but I think we won't see any better results from Portland in upcoming games and meeting with Bulls was only one exception. It's not just that Portland is now without two very important players but also its super star LaMarcus Aldridge is not in god shape. He has averaged only 17 points per game and has 37.3 % of feld goals in last four games what is significantly weaker than his season average (21.4 pts and 50.3%).
The guests are quite the opposite at this point. First its result are very nice. Bucks won five straight games. After defeat from Chicago Bulls in one very close game 104-106, Bucks defeated Knicks, Raptors, Nets, Cavaliers and Warriors. So, maybe not very best teams in NBA but still at this point this form should be enough against struggling Trailblazers. Beside better recent results, on the side of Bucks is also better job finished in recent trade. Unlike Portland who gave up of two of its three best players, Bucks made great deal with Monta Ellis who came from Golden State while Bucks set in other direction injured Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson. Bucks also had two more days off before this game. They were on the court the last time on 17th while Portland played in Oklahoma yesterday.
